This viscosupplement is administered as a series of intra-articular insertions by a legally-authorized physician. A local anesthetic may be administered prior to the procedure for the comfort of the patient. Prepare the site of injection by disinfecting the area with an appropriate antiseptic. Inject Supartz into the knee joint using the appropriate injection technique with a 22–23G needle. Please note that the contents of this package are meant for a single knee only: a separate, additional doses are required for bilateral treatment.
